Donald Trump orders US Navy to shoot and kill all boats laying mines in Strait of Hormuz

“There must be no hesitation.” Donald Trump posted several aggressive messages about Iran on his Truth Social network on Thursday. He specifically explained ordering the US Navy to “shoot and kill all boats, no matter how small, that lay mines” in the Strait of Hormuz. “Our mine-clearing boats are clearing the strait right now. I order that this activity continues, but at three times its current level,” he added.

The uncertainty is high regarding Trump’s intentions since announcing an indefinite extension of the ceasefire with Iran. The unpredictable leader seems to currently favor a diplomatic approach, but analysts do not rule out either a major resumption of hostilities or a complete American disengagement.

In another message, the US president assured that the Strait of Hormuz was “completely under the control” of the United States, stating, “No ship can enter or exit without the green light from the US Navy.”

“No need for agreement to get what he wants”

Donald Trump also reposted, without comment, a quote from Marc Thiessen, a commentator invited by Fox News on Wednesday. Thiessen called to “kill” Iranian leaders hostile to an agreement with the United States.

Furthermore, the US president shared a column published by Thiessen on Truth Social.
