A show of force in Tehran. Just before the ceasefire expired, the Iranian regime displayed a ballistic missile, indicating a willingness to resume hostilities. The crowd, dressed in white, chants “Death to Israel! Death to America!.”

Just as Donald Trump announced the extension of the ceasefire to allow for negotiations, naval battles resumed this morning in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranians fired on three container ships: the Euphoria and MSC Francesca flying the Panamanian flag, and the PAMI Nondas under the Liberian flag. The attack is claimed by the state television.

Attacks are carried out by hundreds of fast boats from the Revolutionary Guards, known as the “mosquito fleet” for its agility and nuisance capacity. Meanwhile, the US Navy continues its blockade to prevent the export of Iranian oil and squeeze the country’s finances. According to the Financial Times, 34 tankers have already managed to bypass the blockade.

Donald Trump claims that his strategy is working. “Iran is collapsing financially. They want the immediate opening of the Strait of Hormuz. They are short of money, losing $500 million a day,” says the US president. Trump hints that negotiations could resume by Friday. The Iranian regime mocks this and releases a video made with AI showing Donald Trump getting impatient with empty chairs. The only response he receives is “Trump, shut up.”
