The Lucie Aubrac high school successfully organized the first edition of its Defense and Security Professions Forum, an important event that fully aligns with the “Engagement and Global Security” option created by Mrs. Rauwel, a teacher of Letters-History. Led by long preparation and actively supported by the school’s leadership team – Mrs. Hubert, principal, and Mrs. Stewart, assistant principal – this forum aimed to strengthen the National Army’s link, showcase defense, security, and public service professions, highlight engagement pathways, and create a high-profile event with broad territorial impact. An exceptional mobilization with highly committed stakeholders responded. The civilian and industrial sectors were also represented by engaged professionals.

46 speakers from across France and over 750 students attended the forum. Among them were students from the defense class at Gaston Doumergue middle school, accompanied by Mr. Ohl and Mrs. Vergély. In total, more than 46 speakers from all over France led over 20 workshops, allowing students to tangibly experience the diversity of professions related to defense and security: military, gendarmerie, police, civil security, justice, healthcare, cybersecurity, engineering, and defense industry. The success of this first edition was based on exemplary collective mobilization. The entire educational community, including school staff and Mrs. Castani, secretary of the L.U.C.I.E association, actively engaged. Through its rich exchanges and quality speakers, the forum successfully achieved its objectives, providing students with an immersive, concrete, and inspiring experience, while strengthening the links between the school, institutions, and the professional world.

This promising first edition calls for future renewal.
