Margo has money problems is the new creation by David Edward Kelley. Kelley is one of the most prolific screenwriters in American TV and streaming platforms. He is known for shows like Ally McBeal, Big Little Lies, The Lincoln Lawyer, and The Undoing.

In this eight-episode series airing on Apple TV, Margo is a promising student who is forced to drop out of college due to an unexpected pregnancy. To support her child, she sells online videos of herself nude. Margo is played by Elle Fanning, with a newly devout mother played by Michelle Pfeiffer, and a former wrestler father played by Nick Offerman.

Critics’ opinion on “Margo has money problems”: – Joseph Ghosn: “It’s a very Californian series, especially in terms of lighting and hyper-pop atmosphere, reminiscent of things we loved 15 or 20 years ago, an aesthetic that could be found in some of Sofia Coppola’s films; but there is also something a bit more degraded, especially in the humor.” – Raphaëlle Pireyre: “The baby plays the role of a narrative pivot, triggering many plot twists, but it’s a shame that the series doesn’t take advantage of this to let these well-known actresses shine in roles we haven’t seen them play before. It happens a bit with Elle Fanning, the baby holds her back a lot, and with the character of the father, played by Nick Offerman, who is a former wrestler: at times, he grabs the baby under his bicep, as if performing a wrestling move.”
