From May 21st to 28th, thirty-five urban artists (graffiti artists, muralists, breakdancers) will gather at three sites in Argelès-sur-Mer for the 4th edition of Urb’ Art.

Presented in detail at the Perpignan restaurant-bar Le Ben Aqui, the 4th edition of the urban art festival in Argelès-sur-Mer, taking place from May 21st to 28th, 2026, promises a lineup that the young would describe as “awesome!”

On the three sites (downtown, South beach, and port) of the event in Argelès, 36 French artists (from Perpignan, Toulouse, Montpellier) and foreigners (from Barcelona, and possibly even from Venezuela) are expected.

Eight walls will be painted for an edition that is both “very festive and very virtuous,” according to Julie Sanz, the new mayor of Argelès-sur-Mer, departmental advisor Françoise Rous, and municipal councilor Claudine Lavail, in charge of culture, festivities, and heritage.

A festive and virtuous dive into the multifaceted universe of urban art

Very festive, because this Urb’Art 4 invites the public to a delightful dive into the multifaceted universe of urban art, as indicated by the organizers. Graffiti artists and muralists will bring original works to life around this year’s theme: “building connections.” “For eight days, Argelès-sur-Mer will turn into a true open-air artist’s workshop. Visitors can watch them in action, follow the evolution of their creations, and interact with them,” added Claudine Lavail. There will also be a focus on interaction between the various disciplines of this urban culture, along with initiations, demonstrations, and high-level contests throughout the 2026 edition.

Lastly, very virtuous, because Urb’Art 4 aims this year to make urban art a “linking vector” as well as a “tool for raising awareness about environmental preservation in all its aspects,” as emphasized by François Rous.
