SadaNews – Poll Shows Majority of Americans Believe US Foreign Policy Ignores Other Countries’ Interests
A survey conducted by the Pew Research Center in the United States shows that 53% of Americans believe their country’s foreign policy does not take into account the interests of other countries when making decisions, a record high for this indicator.
The survey, conducted between March 23 and 29, included over 3,500 people, and its results were published on the center’s website on Tuesday.
Participants were asked about the extent to which the United States considers the interests of other countries when formulating their foreign policy decisions.
According to the results, 53% of participants stated that American foreign policy ignores the interests of other countries, a significant increase from 27% in 2023, during the presidency of former US President Joe Biden.
These results reflect a growing criticism internally on how Washington manages its external relations and a growing belief among Americans that their country’s international decisions are made without sufficient consideration of other nations’ interests.
