The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Residing Abroad, Mr. Nasser Bourita, took part on Tuesday in the extraordinary session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, held by videoconference and devoted to the illegal Iranian attacks against Arab states.

This meeting is part of a series of regional consultations dedicated to examining the alleged aggressions attributed to Iran against several Arab countries, as well as evaluating their impact on regional stability and international peace and security. The goal is to establish a unified Arab position against these violations, in order to put an end to them and counter any threat to the stability of the countries involved.

In this regional and international context, the Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, has reaffirmed its constant position strongly condemning any infringement on the sovereignty of Arab states. Morocco also expresses its full solidarity with the concerned countries, supporting the measures they take to defend their sovereignty and ensure the security of their citizens and residents, in accordance with international law.

Furthermore, Morocco welcomed the announcement of a truce between the United States and Iran, as well as the initiation of negotiations between the two parties, in the hope of reaching a sustainable political agreement that could reduce tensions and end threats in the region.

This session was convened at the initiative of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the incumbent president of the Council of the Arab League at the ministerial level, in a regional context marked by increased vigilance despite ongoing de-escalation efforts.
