Morocco has gradually made the African continent a central pillar of its foreign policy, a direction led by His Majesty the King, under his enlightened vision, and inscribed in a global strategy focused on peace, security, and sustainable development.
This approach is based on a thorough analysis of the continent’s realities, favoring an integrated vision that goes beyond strictly security responses to include economic and social dimensions, considered essential for lasting stability.
In this perspective, the Kingdom defends fundamental principles such as respect for the territorial integrity of states, non-interference in internal affairs, and the strengthening of good neighborliness. The objective is to consolidate a cooperative environment while addressing security challenges and transnational threats.
Morocco’s African policy, driven at the highest level of the state, is based on the belief that security, peace, and development issues are inseparable. It therefore prioritizes global and sustainable solutions, capable of meeting the expectations of populations and promoting inclusive growth at the continental level.
This commitment is reflected in the launch of structuring initiatives in several key areas, including food security, adaptation to climate change, access to energy, and infrastructure strengthening. Special attention is also given to regional integration and improving connectivity, especially for landlocked countries.
At the core of this approach, the human dimension occupies a central place. The actions taken aim at concrete benefits for populations, particularly in the areas of education, health, housing, and local development, in response to the aspirations of African societies, especially the youth.
This policy also reflects a deep conviction: that of a common belonging to a shared African space. Africa is perceived not as a mere neighborhood, but as a natural extension of the Kingdom, whose stability and development are closely linked to those of Morocco.
In a changing international context, the Kingdom finally advocates for the diversification of cooperation mechanisms and an increased role for African parliamentary institutions, called upon to actively contribute to strategic reflection and the construction of innovative solutions.
Through this vision, championed by His Majesty the King, Morocco affirms its commitment to a stable, united, and prosperous Africa, focusing on the long term and cooperation based on concrete action and mutual trust.
