A new challenge for Souillac

The US Souillac will face Lacapelle-Biron on Sunday at 3:00 PM in Castelnau Montratier in the 16th finals of the Regional 2 championship in France.

After a memorable 32nd final last Sunday against Castelmoron, US Souillac will return to the Regional 2 championship of France this Sunday, May 24th. In the 16th finals, the “Red and Black” will play against AS Capelaine at 3:00 PM at the Claude Batut Stadium in Castelnau-Montratier. Lacapelle Biron, who was in the same group as Castelmoron, finished third in the Regional 2 pool of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine league with an impressive record of 14 wins and only 4 defeats.

Winners of the New Aquitaine league finals against RC Bazeillais before losing to Tartas in the next round, the Capelaine rugby players advanced to the 32nd finals of the Regional 2 championship in France by defeating Aviron Castrais 23 to 21. Also, achieving a commendable second place in pool 3 of Regional 2 in the Occitanie league, the players from Souillac began their journey in the finals by delivering a great performance last weekend against the New Aquitaine league champions.

A carpool has been organized in front of the clubhouse. “It’s been a very successful season for all the players with very few defeats. They played with commitment and solidarity last week, and we hope they will reproduce the same performance on Sunday with a bit more discipline,” said Jean-Marc Parjadis, co-president of Souillac. The team is driven by their positive momentum and desire to continue the adventure, needing the support of their fans now more than ever for this crucial match.

“Everyone is motivated, everyone is mobilized,” says Jean-Marc Parjadis. “We will be facing a very strong team on Sunday, especially in the forward line. We need to put on a strong, serious, disciplined performance. The team is well prepared for this match. We need to give our all and do our best to try to extend the adventure in these final stages.” Franck Levet, who was present for the 32nd final, will be at Castelnau on Sunday to witness this 16th final match. “Experiencing these final matches brings back memories, it’s full of emotions. It’s nice to experience these games again. This will be a tough match, but the Souillac team never gives up. They never give in.”
