The eChampions League 2026 brought together 36 of the best European players from 17 national leagues, all vying for the most coveted title in European football on FC. Featuring stars like defending champion Emre Yilmaz, Vejrgang, nicolas99fc, and Tekkz, the tournament delivered suspense, goals, and surprises throughout the group stage and knockout phase.

Following a format similar to the UEFA Champions League, the 36 players competed in a six-match group stage. The top eight directly qualified for the round of 16, while players ranked from 9th to 24th participated in playoffs. The bottom 12 were eliminated.

The opening match set the tone as defending champion Emre Yilmaz defeated World Champion FC Pro ManuBachoore 4-3 in an exciting clash between Team Liquid teammates.

One of the early surprises came when Benfica’s Leks defeated world number one Vejrgang 7-5. High-scoring matches became a trend, with Alihanlion impressing in dominant victories, including a remarkable 13-2 win over Rafa Monteiro. Karimisbak also caught attention with a resounding 9-1 victory against xMUSTI19.

At the end of the first day, Emre Yilmaz, Alihanlion, Bonanno, and nicolas99fc all maintained a perfect record. Vejrgang recovered from a slow start to dominate Montaxer 7-2 and keep his qualification hopes alive.

The second day saw even more goals. Vejrgang spectacularly bounced back with a 12-2 triumph over Bero, while DFernandes defeated Dan1K 12-1. xMUSTI19 of Hannover 96 also secured a rare clean-sheet victory, winning 10-0 against Domasas.

A standout moment in the group stage occurred on the fifth day when Levi de Weerd achieved the largest margin in eChampions League history, crushing Dan1K 17-1 after a ruthless offensive display.

The last day brought suspense as several players fought to avoid elimination. PHzin secured survival with a dramatic 6-5 win over HHezerS, while Tuga810 anxiously awaited other results after drawing 3-3 with Levi de Weerd, narrowly qualifying in 23rd place.

Tekkz also qualified despite a defeat on the final day against ManuBachoore, setting up a playoff against his Leeds United teammate NiKSNEB.

Emre Yilmaz finished as the only player with a perfect record of six wins in six matches, scoring 32 goals in the process. Leks, Nassada, nicolas99fc, Vejrgang, Alihanlion, DFernandes, and MarwanMC9 joined him in securing direct qualification to the round of 16.

The knockout phase raised the stakes even further. Samugamer edged past Jafonso 4-3 after extra time, while ManuBachoore comfortably dispatched RvPLegend10 7-3.

A memorable match saw PHzin overcome Levi de Weerd 6-5 after extra time. Levi seemed poised for victory until PHzin equalized in stoppage time before scoring the winning goal in the last action of the game.

Another thrilling match involved Leeds United teammates Tekkz and NiKSNEB. Their mutual familiarity led to an entertaining showdown, with Tekkz securing a 5-3 victory, setting up a remarkable clash against Vejrgang.

The highest-scoring match of the round was the 10-10 draw between GugaFerraz and Bonanno, with GugaFerraz advancing 6-5 on penalties. LuukWijdeveld also qualified narrowly by defeating SmalkXVII 5-4 after extra time.

The round of 16 determined the final eight players en route to Budapest.

The biggest upset occurred when Samugamer ended Emre Yilmaz’s eChampions League unbeaten run with a spectacular 5-4 victory. MarwanMC9 continued his impressive form by beating ManuBachoore 5-4 in a rematch of the eLigue 1 final.

Nicolas99fc delivered one of the most convincing performances of the round, defeating his South American compatriot PHzin 7-3 to secure a spot in the finals.

However, the main event was undoubtedly Vejrgang vs. Tekkz. Considered two of the biggest stars in FC Pro, the players engaged in an instant classic marked by 16 goals, controversy, and a penalty shootout after an 8-8 draw. Vejrgang remained composed to win the shootout 4-2 and advance.

Elsewhere, Nassada defeated GugaFerraz 5-2, Alihanlion beat LuukWijdeveld 5-1, and HHezerS completed an incredible comeback to defeat Leks 3-2.

The final match of the evening saw DFernandes overturn a 3-0 deficit to beat Maxis235 6-5 with a last-minute winner, claiming the last ticket to Budapest.

After hundreds of matches and countless goals, the eChampions League boiled down to eight players. With the finals set for Budapest, the top European FC Pro competitors are just a few games away from glory.
