The Espoirs Pole selection of Castelmaurou (Haute-Garonne) has chosen nine U13 players from Occitanie this season. Auch Football midfielder Maya Suter joins the Toulouse structure for two years. The focus is now on reaching a higher level.
After the Espoirs Pole football competition in Castelmaurou (Haute-Garonne), organized by the Occitanie league, the nine U13 selected players from the region (compared to sixteen for boys) for the 2026-2027 season have been announced in May.
Maya Suter, 13 years old since March, is one of the lucky ones. A proud moment for her parents, two sisters, and loved ones. Also, great news for Auch Football.
Licensed at the Auch club, the young midfielder had already been recruited by the Toulouse Football Club (TFC) for tournaments in 2024 and 2025, which took her to Nantes, Lyon… “I started playing football at 6 years old, right after watching the French team play during the 2019 World Cup,” Maya said last summer. “I was often the only girl on the team, but I was always well integrated.”
“Continue to progress”
As a regular starter, the 5th-grade student in Carnot College’s football section always gives her best, whether in training or in matches. “I was happy with my performance during the tests, but given the level, I was far from sure of being chosen,” Maya explains. “I look forward to playing with my teammates, getting to know them, and most importantly, continuing to improve.”
After validation of the school file by the Espoirs Pole and passing mandatory medical exams, Maya will join the Espoirs Pole in the Toulouse suburbs for two years. Every weekend, she will reunite with her family and her heart club: Auch Football. She now has all the tools to achieve her dream: to join the elite of national and European women’s football.
