After several months of preparation, Eve Delerue, a former sports coach in Agen, is opening her sports clothing store, Realine Sport, on Friday, May 22 at 7 pm on Boulevard de la République. The public opening is scheduled for the next day, Saturday, May 23.
“I am very happy and moved, I can’t wait!” A few months after leaving her position as a sports coach, Eve is about to open the doors of her sports clothing store in downtown Agen, at 37 Boulevard de la République. Named ReaLine Sport, the store will be inaugurated on Friday, May 22 at 7 pm, before officially opening to the public on the following day, Saturday, May 23.
Located near Superdry on Boulevard de la République, the 50m² store marks a new step for the 26-year-old Agenaise. After six years in a city gym, she decided to venture into entrepreneurship. “Now, it’s becoming real,” she said, observing the final adjustments to her store, facing the closed Bouchara store.
A boutique designed as a place to live
In this new space, shades of burgundy and cream white dominate. Eve aims to create a “warm” and welcoming place, moving away from a too technical image of sports. She offers sportswear for men and women, as well as a selection of accessories such as bags, water bottles, socks, and yoga mats.
The store also includes two fitting rooms and a small waiting area designed like a mini-lounge. Customers can even enjoy a cup of coffee there, showing the young entrepreneur’s desire for a more personalized welcome. “I want people to feel comfortable here, to take their time to try on and feel at ease,” she explains.
A project built in a few months
The idea for the store emerged last fall, after leaving the gym where she had worked since the age of 19. It was a period of personal and professional reflection that led her to consider a career change.
Since then, the steps have been continuous: finding the location, financial planning, clothing orders, renovations, and set up. According to Eve, the journey has not been easy. “There was a lot of stress, especially with funding and deadlines,” she admitted. Several banks initially refused to support the project before finally reaching an agreement. The project also underwent a significant adjustment along the way: the original name, Revelsport, was renamed ReaLine Sport. “I didn’t give up despite the difficulties,” reassured the young woman.
Between excitement and apprehension
A few days before the grand opening, the final details still need to be finalized. Some products had to be delivered at the last minute, slightly delaying store organization. “When you embark on something, you discover many things you didn’t imagine,” she smiles.
Despite her enthusiasm, Eve admits to feeling a bit apprehensive. “You never know how it will be received.” Nevertheless, she hopes to find her place in the center of Agen with a concept that blends sports clothing and more “lifestyle” pieces, suitable for both the gym and daily wear.
