Immerse yourself in the history of the FIFA World Cup

  • From June 11 to July 19, 2026, the Rockefeller Center in New York hosts the exhibition “Legacies of Champions”, the legacy of champions in French. This exhibition invites you to relive the great moments of the FIFA World Cup.
  • The different showcases go back in time, starting with the very first edition of the FIFA World Cup in 1930 in Uruguay. A competition won by Uruguay, the first country to lift the trophy.
  • The exhibition presents many authentic objects, like relics of football history. You will see the jerseys of legendary players and posters from different editions of the World Cup.
  • The museum also offers immersive experiences, including “The Final”. This spectacular cinematic installation immerses you in the suspense of a World Cup final. Further on, the “Wall of Champions” pays tribute to all the players who have lifted the prestigious trophy. You will recognize Brazilian legends Pelé and Ronaldo, French players Zinédine Zidane and Kylian Mbappé, as well as Argentineans Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi.
  • The exhibition also presents the jerseys of the 48 teams participating in the 2026 World Cup in New York. Another exceptional piece presented in New York: the Jules Rimet trophy, awarded to the winners between 1930 and 1970. FIFA specifies that “on certain days, the public will also be able to admire the trophy that will be awarded to the team crowned during the 2026 FIFA World Cup”. The dates, however, are not communicated in advance, for security reasons.
