Since thirty-five years, sport and conviviality have always been the driving forces of the Coubon cycling group, which has also been working in solidarity since 2017 by organizing the Ronde des pâquerettes event.

Originally, this event was reserved for women in order to promote women’s cycling and raise funds for APPEL, an association that helps children suffering from leukemia and other cancers.

Today, this event has become mixed and takes place over two days, bringing together around 500 people for a good cause. Indeed, since the first edition, almost 50,000 euros have been donated to APPEL.

The ninth edition of the Ronde des pâquerettes will take place on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21. The program includes two road cycling routes and two hiking routes on Saturday, as well as two road cycling routes, three mountain biking routes, and two hiking routes on Sunday.

In order to remain true to the spirit of the event, women will be honored on Saturday with a departure ten minutes before men and a gift. Of course, electric bikes can also be used for the ride, and surprise entertainment is announced along the cycling routes.

Participants can sign up for one or two days for one or two activities. A drink will be offered at the finish line and substantial refreshments are provided. Platters for a pre-departure snack can also be reserved. The traditional countryside meal will take place on Saturday evening with prior registration.

Family entertainment is planned for Saturday afternoon, including information on preventing melanoma in children and prizes to be won at the AESIO stand. A magician will be present on-site along with various stands, and a snack for the children. Note that on Friday evening, an aperitif with entertainment is available at the Quargnento space.

(Note: “Ronde des pâquerettes” translates to “Daisy Round” in English. “APPEL” is an association that helps children with cancer. This event promotes cycling and raises funds for those in need.)
