During the team meeting at the OM training center, disturbances occurred during an impromptu celebration.

The current difficult period for OM has led Habib Beye and his staff to make a radical decision: to establish a team meeting for several days. Since Monday, the team has stayed at the training center where they have been confined until Friday, when they will return home. While the crisis seems deep both in terms of sports and behind the scenes, disturbances reportedly occurred at the training center last night.

A “holiday camp” atmosphere at the training center

The players organized a private celebration to mark the end of the team meeting, but it got out of hand. “Beds were moved, rooms turned upside down, fire extinguisher completely emptied in the room of a manager,” as reported by Foot Mercato. The same source suggests that several staff members did not really appreciate this behavior reminiscent of a “holiday camp” according to a witness.

Currently 7th in the league, OM no longer controls its fate to qualify for European competition next season with two matches left in the current season. Traveling to Le Havre on Sunday evening (kick-off at 9pm), the team urgently needs points before hosting Rennes in the final match on May 17th. Habib Beye and his team are on a run of three winless games in Ligue 1.
