Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Excluded from Marseille Squad for Last Game of the Season

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not be traveling with Marseille to Le Havre on Sunday for the second-to-last day of Ligue 1. The 36-year-old striker has been sidelined. This decision comes after incidents at the players’ last team meeting in Commanderie.

Marseille will head to Le Havre on Sunday for the penultimate day of Ligue 1, aiming to end the crisis. However, tensions are high within the club. According to our sources, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been excluded by the club management for this trip to Normandy.

A Tense Atmosphere

This decision follows the incidents at Commanderie, where players organized a party resembling a “summer camp” that got out of hand, which was not well received, especially as Marseille may not compete in European competitions next season. Stéphane Richard and Alban Juster met with the players around noon at the training center.

Aubameyang was among the starting players last weekend during the humiliating defeat against Nantes. The Marseille team will now have to do without Nayef Aguerd and Hamed Traoré, whose season has come to an end.
