Emergency services at Las Vegas airport in Nevada, United States, had to welcome the captain of a Southwest Airlines plane with a wheelchair on April 8th, the airline recently indicated. The pilot was injured in the cockpit of the Boeing 737 he was supposed to fly to Reno, United States, as reported by The Independent on Tuesday.

The pilot suffered from nausea as a result of a screen in front of his face becoming loose and hitting his head during takeoff. Due to the impact, the man briefly lost consciousness and then experienced vomiting. He and his co-pilot decided to turn back. Southwest Airlines specified that the co-pilot successfully landed the plane.

However, the captain himself was able to taxi the plane to the boarding gate. After returning to Las Vegas, the aircraft remained on the ground for about 90 minutes before taking off again for its intended destination, where it arrived two hours behind schedule.
