District championships take a break, with some calendar updates. The Thau pool is very little affected.
For Bastien Verdalle and Jean-Philippe Hummel’s Balaruc reserve team, they will have the opportunity to climb in the rankings on Sunday afternoon against the bottom-dweller, Red Star Olympique de Cournonterral. After a strong start in the D3 championship, they went through a rough patch but have managed to bounce back in the early spring. A win will place them back in the top half of the table.
On other fields, there will be matches in the Cup and Challenge. Thau is particularly in the spotlight. Some teams have stood out and will be on the pitch this weekend. The U18 team from Lapeyradois will play on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. in Mauguio.
In Mèze, the local women’s team will face Vendargues on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. The prize: a spot in the final of the Maurice-Balsan Women’s Challenge.
At the same time and nearby at Sesquier, the U16 team from Entente Loupian-Mèze will take on Atlas-Paillade to secure a spot in the final of the Hérault Cup. The U17 teams from Mèze and Loupian will be in Jacou at 3:00 p.m., still in the semi-finals of the Hérault Cup.
This Sunday at 3:00 p.m.: St. Balaruc II vs. Cournonterral.
