Midtjylland midfielder Alamara Djabi was stabbed this weekend in Herning, central Denmark. The 19-year-old player is in stable condition after being brought out of an artificial coma.
The Midtjylland midfielder, Alamara Djabi, is in stable condition after being stabbed and seriously injured, announced the Danish first division club on Tuesday. The incident occurred over the weekend in Herning, a city in central Denmark where the club is based, according to Midtjylland.
At 19 years old, trained at Benfica, Djabi joined the Danish club in 2023 and has made two appearances in the first team. “Alamara Djabi was initially in critical condition and underwent emergency surgery,” Midtjylland said in a statement. “He has since had a second operation, and thanks to the professionalism of the paramedics and hospital staff, his condition is now stable.”
He has come out of the artificial coma and his condition is stable given the circumstances. FC Midtjylland is in close contact with the authorities and is providing support to Alamara Djabi and his family. Midtjylland is currently in second place in Group A of the Danish Superliga, a championship they last won in 2024, two points behind AGF.
