A few hours before the clash of this season in the Premier League between Arsenal (1st with 70 points) and Manchester City (2nd with 64 points and a game in hand), Erling Haaland “without pressure” issued a strong warning to the Gunners in an interview with Sky Sports.

It’s the match everyone is talking about at the end of the season. England is holding its breath ahead of the showdown between Arsenal and Manchester City this Sunday (5:30 pm). It’s a top game between the league leaders (Arsenal with 70 points) and their closest rivals (Manchester City with 64 points). City’s forward Erling Haaland shared his thoughts with Sky Sports on Friday, just hours before a match he described as a “final.”

“Honestly, I don’t really feel nervous. We have nothing to lose, I feel no pressure because we have been chasing the title all season,” said the 25-year-old player from his club’s Etihad Campus training center.

“It should be asked to Arsenal if they feel the pressure,” suggested Erling Haaland as Arsenal has been going through a rough patch in recent weeks.

By mid-March, Arteta’s men were qualified in all competitions and enjoyed an 8-point lead in the league, but the situation has changed since then.

After a defeat in the League Cup final against Manchester City (2-0), elimination against a lower division side (Southampton) in the FA Cup quarter-finals (2-1), a home loss against Bournemouth in the league (2-3), and a difficult qualification against Sporting in the Champions League quarter-finals (1-0, 0-0), Arsenal could lose it all with just five matches left in the season.

Six points separate Arsenal and Manchester City before their upcoming clash this weekend, with City having a game in hand. A victory on Sunday could potentially level the playing field between the two rivals.

“Against Arsenal, it’s always a battle. They usually have a lot of players around me… it will be like a final this weekend,” said the Norwegian striker who has already scored five goals in ten appearances against the Gunners.

“It’s a crucial match, probably the most important and best one we could have, so I hope it will be exceptional. We all know, we all understand the importance of this match,” concluded an eager Erling Haaland.
