The Castonétois (4th) are now back home, hosting the second to last team, Argelès, this Saturday evening at 6 o’clock, with the ambition to regain victory at home and aim for a top 5 finish, with just four rounds left in the National 3 championship.

After a more than convincing performance last week in Castanet (4-0 victory), which secured them a spot in National 3 for the 2026-2027 season, Yoan Boscus’s men can now set new goals for the end of the season. This is a first for them in this championship after three seasons of narrowly avoiding relegation at the end of each season, proving their progress. OCF has now become a club accustomed to N3 challenges and feared by opposing coaches.

However, Onet is coming off three consecutive defeats at home. And even though they are facing the second-to-last team this Saturday evening, the players from the Côte Vermeille will come out fighting to try to climb out of the relegation zone in the battle to stay up. Nothing will be easy, as what’s on paper is not always what happens on the field. “The idea now is to get as many points as possible until the end with a target of top 5. If we can go higher than 5th, we will, but top 5 is the minimum we must achieve while being in this position with just four rounds left. We have to stay there. Facing Argelès, the task won’t be easy because they are fighting to stay up, so we shouldn’t think it will be easy,” says cautious coach Boscus.

Lack of ambition? Not lack of ambition, but also a reality of the schedule for the Aveyron coach, as after facing Argelès, the Castonétois will travel to play against Pau’s reserves before concluding with a trip to Tarbes and the reception of Colomiers, two teams battling for promotion. “It’s not a lack of ambition, but the schedule will offer us tough opposition, especially against teams with huge stakes in the standings,” tempers Boscus. With the mathematical confirmation of their safety, the focus now shifts logically towards higher ambitions for Hugo Bobek and his team, without dreaming too big. Gâteau is suspended after receiving a red card in Castanet at the end of the game, while Bubote, Lacabane, Delclaux, and Deplace are injured, with the last two ending the season. El Baghdadi is also absent for personal reasons.

Group: Enjalbert, Gonzalez – Assati, Bobek (captain), Foucras, Prunera, Schaab – Higonenc, Mensah, Pouget, Ruffaut, Tarayre – Bostanci, Cueye, Durand.
