Pep Guardiola and Erling Haaland have discussed the upcoming Premier League clash between Manchester City (2nd) and Arsenal (1st) scheduled for Sunday at 5:30 p.m.

Arsenal might risk losing everything this season. Eliminated in the FA Cup quarter-finals by Southampton (2-1), beaten in the League Cup final by Manchester City (0-2), and barely scraping past Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League (1-0 on aggregate), the Gunners saw their lead over City reduced from nine to six points last weekend. Second-placed City will face Arsenal this Sunday and have a game in hand.

In other words, if Pep Guardiola’s team wins their remaining seven league matches, including the one against Arsenal, they will be level on points with only a three-goal difference (+38 for City and +35 for Arsenal). Guardiola acknowledged the high stakes of the match by stating, “If we lose, yes, it’s over.” The City manager also highlighted the challenges of the English Premier League.

Haaland expressed his anticipation for the match, calling it “the biggest and best match” to come. Guardiola emphasized the need for focus in the lead-up to the match against Arsenal and highlighted the intensity of the upcoming fixtures in City’s schedule.

Haaland described the upcoming match as huge, akin to a final, emphasizing the significance of the game for both teams. The Premier League’s top scorer acknowledged the importance of playing in such crucial matches, recalling his goal in the previous encounter with Arsenal, which ended in a draw. Arsenal would likely settle for a similar result this time around.
