In Ligue 2, no one presented a better net result, with a positive of 1.07 million euros, than FC Lorient! This is despite a payroll (loaded) still amounting to over 26.3 million euros (comparable to Paris FC’s 31.60 M€, Metz’s 20 M€, and Troyes’s 22.30 M€), but still 11 M€ less than in 2023-2024 in Ligue 1.

For this, the Morbihan club benefited from 7.4 million euros in TV rights (compared to 32 M€ in 2023-2024?), as well as sponsorship/advertising revenue of 4.60 M€ (4.60 M€ for Caen, 5.10 M€ for PFC; 7.50 M€ for Metz), and matchday revenue of 2.30 M€ (2.6 for Caen and Dunkerque and 4.6 for Metz). Agent fees amounted to 1.50 M€.

40.50 M€ of transfer operations!

Thus, the club of President Loïc Féry, taken under the BKFC group this winter, still presented a very significant structural deficit in 2024-2025, amounting to 38.90 M€, almost 2 M€ higher than the alarming figure of the previous season (37 M€), mainly impacted by the drastic drop in TV rights revenue (from 32 M€ to 7 M€).

However, FCL offset this with transfer operations (transfer revenue) of 40.50 M€, particularly from the sale of Junior Kroupi (around 15 to 20 M€) to Bournemouth (BKFC’s flagship club), that of Bamo Mareté to Marseille (option exercised by OM around 11 M€), and likely commissions from previous transfers, like Le Fee to Stade Rennais, which, in summer 2024, moved to AS Roma.
