Only fifteen minutes from Grenoble, the small village of Venon is getting ready to change its pace and atmosphere once again. On Friday, May 29th and Saturday, May 30th, the Changer d’airs festival returns for its thirteenth edition with a warm, festive, and inclusive program, set in one of the most beautiful settings in the metropolitan area.

For several years, this springtime event has become much more than just a music festival. Here, there is no gigantism or anonymous crowd: people come to Venon to share a friendly moment, discover emerging artists, enjoy an exceptional view of Grenoble, and experience the spirit of closeness that adds charm to the event.

The festival will kick off on Friday, May 29th at 8 p.m. in the beautiful village church with an intimate concert themed around Brazil. Musician Diogo Cadaval will open this edition with a promising duo offering a captivating musical interlude, driven by warm rhythms and an atmosphere conducive to escape.

But it is on Saturday, May 30th that Venon will truly transform into a popular celebration. From the afternoon, the vicinity of the school and the community hall will turn into a playground for both young and old. Family animations, fun activities, and public shows will fill this day designed for all ages.

At 3 p.m., the company Les Colporteurs de rêves will present “Boulevard Boulegant,” a show described as joyful, poetic, and suitable for the whole family. A perfect way to start an evening that promises to be particularly festive.

From 8 p.m., the village square will come alive under the stars with an eclectic and generous program blending funk, hip-hop, electro, Afro mandingo music, and Balkan swing. Three bands will take the stage in an atmosphere that guarantees to keep the audience dancing until late into the night: Saxbones, Balla Bangoura, and Les Poissons voyageurs.

The charm of the festival also lies in its unassuming simplicity: entry at a free and conscious price, on-site catering and barbecue, friendly bar, designated parking in the village—everything is planned to allow the public to fully enjoy this suspended moment between music, encounters, and the sweetness of life.
