Classic Risks
Louis, team leader of the ambulance, ensures that “the risks are classic for a festival: high heat, alcohol, and drugs”. The civil protection team consists of 12 rescuers assisted by a doctor, the sole arbiter to decide if an examined festival-goer can rejoin the evening.

Louis is aware of the work his team will have to provide on these hot May evenings: “We will respond to all emergency needs, from minor to serious”. A team of rescuers will also be tasked with making “interventions” and identifying victims in the crowd.
Educational Interventions
The Girofard also performs these “interventions”, wearing pink vests on their shoulders. Morgane Curt, director of this LGBTI+ center, specifies: “The role of Girofard is on the social side and not medical like the civil protection”. The association works to protect festival-goers of all genders and sexual orientations. For this, a stand is present, with the aim of “offering a safe space” says Jenna, a Girofard volunteer. Mike, another 30-year-old volunteer, also admits to “enjoying the music, especially that of Amelie Lens, whom he cherishes.”

Involved in the festival since the first edition, Morgane Curt emphasizes that their mission is essential: “reduce risks and educate”. On the other hand, Andreas Tome, artistic director of Brunch Electronik France, emphasizes the importance of partnering with an association like Girofard for the festival: “It is a festival’s choice, their merits have been praised to us”.
