The jury of The Voice was goosebumps during this duet by Joanna and Tessa

The prime time of The Voice, Saturday, May 9th on TF1, delivered a moment of brilliance. Perhaps even one of the most successful battles of season 15.

During this, Joanna and Tessa performed a duet of “Anyone” by Demi Lovato (see video below). A vibrant and “incredible” performance that amazed the entire jury. Lara Fabian, who had both talents in her team, ran towards the two candidates at the end of the song. These two last ones fell into each other’s arms after singing.

“I have goosebumps! It’s singing, right?” said Amel Bent after the battle. Florent Pagny saw something “masterful” in Joanna, while Tayc highlighted “her vibrato on the chorus.”

From Star Academy to The Voice

“If I were in a store, I would take both records,” commented Amel Bent again, who fortunately did not have to make a choice. In the end, after this “magical” moment, Lara Fabian preferred to take Joanna with her to the quarter-finals: “if we talk about what I consider to be the sound of light, I will go with Joanna.”

“I listened to my instinct when it told me to take a different path and when it told me, ‘you have to go back.’ I am happy, I am really happy,” declared the tearful candidate after her performance, who had participated in the eighth season of the Star Academy in 2008.

“Joanna radiates something sincere, pure that makes us feel good. She really deserves to tell us more of her story,” Lara Fabian had revealed before the prime time.
