On Friday, May 1st at 8:00 PM, at the Cinéma Grand Ecran in La Bresse, the latest film by Vincent Munier, “Le chant des forêts,” will be screened.
Released in December 2025, it received a wonderful reception at the last César Awards ceremony. As a result, it won 2 César awards for its return to the Hautes Vosges, one for Best Documentary and the other for Best Sound. Additionally, the team at Cinéma Grand Ecran is pleased to welcome Michel, Vincent’s father, to interact with the audience.
The film, “After La Panthère des neiges,” Vincent Munier takes us into the heart of the Vosges forests. This is where he learned everything thanks to his father Michel, a naturalist who spent his life observing in the woods. It is time for them to pass on this knowledge to Simon, Vincent’s son. Three perspectives, three generations, a shared fascination for wildlife. We will discover together deer, rare birds, foxes, lynxes, and sometimes, the majestic flight of a legendary animal, the Grand Tetras.
In this suspended time, the film is of breathtaking beauty – the landscapes, the calm atmosphere where not a sound can be heard, everything is peaceful and soft, making it feel like another world. A great success. A must-see film and to watch again and again.
