The first inclusive session of “Cinema for All,” held on Monday, April 20 at CGR de Narbonne, was a great success, confirming the interest and need to offer screenings adapted for all audiences. “Cinema for All” takes place in a calm environment, where the sound volume is moderate, and the light intensity is dimmed to avoid any source of stress. Audience members are free to enter and exit the room, express themselves or move without constraint or stigma, and a team of trained volunteers is present to assist them from their arrival. The session is open to all, promoting audience diversity in an atmosphere of respect, sharing, and conviviality.
The operation, carried out in partnership with the association Les Papillons Bleus, which organizes activities tailored to children with autism, welcomed more than 150 participants, including many families and specialized institutions. Aimed in particular at children with autism spectrum disorders, this session offered audiences who do not usually go to cinemas the opportunity to have an inclusive cultural experience in a reassuring and adapted setting.
