For its fourth edition, the Flames ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 23 from the Seine Musicale venue. This year, and for the first time, the event will be broadcast live on public service channels.
On Thursday, April 23, the Flames ceremony, also known as the “Victoires de la Musique du rap,” returns for its fourth edition.
Like in 2025, the event is organized at the Seine Musicale (Hauts-de-Seine) and will once again be open to the public. This is an opportunity for numerous fans to witness the awarding of the Flames prizes, which recognize the female artist and male artist of the year, the rap album, the RnB album, the best music video, and the best composer of the year.
The Flames, what are they?
Launched in 2023 by specialized media outlets Yard and Booska-P in partnership with Spotify, the Flames ceremony offers the rap and RnB scene the chance to honor the best artists, performances, concerts, and composers of the year.
It is a gala evening similar to what the Victoires de la Musique offer to pop and the Victoires de la Musique Classique to classical music.
Since 2023, the Flames have been held three times, first at the Théâtre du Châtelet in 2023 and 2024, then since 2025 at the Seine Musicale.
At what time and on which channel to watch the ceremony?
For this fourth edition, the Flames can be watched live from 9 pm on France 4.
A simultaneous broadcast will also be available on the france.tv platform, on TV5 Monde, and on Booska-P’s YouTube channel.
Which artists are expected?
During the presentation, the 2026 ceremony will be hosted by Newin Bokhari, Driver, Darryl, and Le Boug Arknow, four figures from the rap scene.
Many artists are expected for this fourth edition, including Youssoupha, Gradur, Ronisia, Soolking, and Bigflo & Oli.
As for nominations, rapper Théodora and Belgian rapper Hamza are among the favorites of the evening with seven nominations each, especially in the categories of “artist of the year,” “album of the year,” and “song of the year.”
Aya Nakamura, Ninho, Gims, or Jul are also in the running for an award, not to mention the new generation of rap and RnB represented by Timar, Nono La Grinta, and La Mano 1.9.
In total, twenty-five awards will be presented during this fourth edition. The winners will be selected through a voting system shared between the public and a professional jury. It is worth noting that over 810,000 voters have already participated in this edition, setting a record.
