Gaming in Lights 2026 in Vitrolles: 4 days of tournaments, virtual reality and cinema at mini prices

Need to keep the teens and younger ones occupied during the holidays? Head to Vitrolles! For its third edition, the event “Gaming aux Lumières” puts the spotlight on youth with a unique concept: transforming a cinema into a huge interactive arcade. From Thursday, April 23 to Sunday, April 26, the hall and rooms will be filled with simulators, virtual reality headsets, and legendary tournaments. The cherry on top: access to games and tournaments is completely free.

Tous les jours, from 2pm to 6pm, the hall of the Les Lumières cinema becomes a paradise for gamers. Whether you’re nostalgic or a fan of the latest technologies, there’s something for everyone:

• Rétro-gaming: Rediscover the classics with “Les Gamers du grenier.”
• Immersion: Try out virtual reality and XR headsets.
• Inclusion: Handisport chairs will be available for a different gaming experience.

Tournois, green screen workshops, and pizza nights

The festival also offers specific events every day to stimulate creativity and competitive spirit:

• Jeudi 23 avril: Family afternoon with the Playful association, followed by the screening of “Super Mario Galaxy” and a snack.
• Vendredi 24 avril: Introduction to the cinema’s backstage with green screen workshops led by Vatos Locos. In the evening (from 12 years old), a special session combining gaming, shared meals, and the movie “Return to Silent Hill.”
• Samedi 25 avril: It’s competition day! A massive participative “Just Dance” on a big screen will precede the highly anticipated “FIFA FC 26” tournament.
• Dimanche 26 avril: Closing day with a “Mario Kart” tournament and the exclusive preview of the movie “ChaO.”
