Everyone has probably experienced this situation: having a bad day and blaming a colleague for every problem.
Actors are also human beings and likely have bad days like this. But for some, things have gotten out of hand, leading to conflicts with their co-stars or directors. We have compiled a list of nine stars who lost their cool while working.
Christian Bale
Christian Bale is known for his drastic weight changes between roles, as well as his mood swings. In 2009, he lost his temper on the set of the movie “Terminator Salvation.” The reason for his outburst: a camera operator accidentally crossed the shot in the middle of a scene. The former Batman got angry to the point of shouting, insulting, and even threatening the man, for several minutes. An excerpt of this scene ended up on the internet, triggering a storm of criticism.
Someone recorded the scene: Christian Bale eventually publicly apologized for his behavior, which he himself described as “exaggerated.”
Jared Leto
In 2016, Jared Leto played the role of the Joker in “Suicide Squad.” And he apparently took his role very seriously, as even off the set, he behaved very strangely. He sent his co-actors used condoms or anal plugs. They also received live rats and even a dead pig from him.
Will Smith also mentioned this period in an interview: “I was really afraid Jared wouldn’t come back from this role.”
He also said: “Jared broke all boundaries of decency and collegiality. We all hated him with all our might.”
The article continues with more examples of difficult actors on set like Katherine Heigl, Gwyneth Paltrow, Charlie Sheen, Lindsay Lohan, Shia LaBeouf, Russell Crowe, and Wesley Snipes.
