Florent Pagny was eager to start his series of concerts after canceling his last tour due to his battle with lung cancer, but was quickly disappointed. Although he had started his 65th tour under the supervision of his doctors to preserve his health, the singer was soon forced to postpone several dates of his shows. A laryngitis causing loss of voice prevented him from finishing the interpretation of “Caruso” on April 7th in front of the audience at the Zenith in Toulouse.
This was followed by the cancellation of two more dates, before a return to the Zenith in Nantes on April 13th, where the audience was delighted to see the performer of “Savoir aimer” back on stage. Concerns were raised about his quick return to performing. However, the husband of Azucena Caamaño regained his passion and his powerful voice.
Florent Pagny opens up about his voice issues
Relieved to be able to sing again, Florent Pagny spoke to his fans during his return to the stage in Nantes. In a moment captured by members of his fan club, he openly discussed his recent health problem that kept him away from his tour. “Good evening, welcome and thank you for this reception! It’s been a long time since we’ve been waiting to reunite. And we almost had a close call! It’s back, I can tell you that I’m happy to be back and singing again, because what I’ve experienced was very special. Losing your voice as a singer, it’s still the worst nightmare. For now, it seems to be holding up well, so we’ll try to continue like this,” he shared with his audience.
Florent Pagny extends his tour celebrating his 65th birthday
Although he had to reschedule several dates of his tour, Florent Pagny is not done singing across France. With his success, The Voice coach even added additional concerts like on October 23rd in Poitiers, November 3rd in Orléans, and November 13th in Amnéville. On January 6th and 7th, 2027, he will also be on stage at the Accor Arena in Paris. These are all shows for which the singer will have to take care of his voice to not disappoint his fans once again.
