SHANGHAI, May 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The 28th edition of Bakery China 2026 will open its doors from May 20 to 23 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai.
Jointly organized by the Chinese Association of Bakery and Confectionery Industry and Bakery China Exhibitions Co., Ltd., this year’s exhibition themed “Innovate Beyond – Premiere Fusion Link Future” will cover over 330,000 square meters and utilize 13 exhibition halls, making it one of the largest and most influential bakery trade shows worldwide in terms of scale.
Fostering Innovation: Bakery China, global hub for the bakery industry
As a hub for the launch of new products and innovations in the global bakery sector, Bakery China will showcase the heart of innovation as tens of thousands of new products, technologies, business models, and industrial formats make their debut.
A series of events, including the Bakery China Innovation Award, Bakery China Innovation talk, and a new week-long initiative dedicated to new product launches, will collectively showcase industry innovation practices, focusing on current trends such as healthy baking, low GI, food-medicine homology, regional ingredient applications, AI applications, and smart manufacturing.
In particular, the Chocolate China 2026 exhibition will be held for the first time concurrently with Bakery China 2026. The event will attract over 200 renowned national and international companies in the chocolate industry, covering an area of 30,000 square meters. Associated activities include the 2026 China Chocolate Industry Forum, presenting the entire value chain from cocoa to finished products with leading chocolate industry brands.
Connecting the Future: Continuing internationalization and growth in niche sectors
Bakery China 2026 will bring together over 2,200 bakery supply chain companies from over 70 countries and nearly 400,000 visitors from 130 countries, with international brands accounting for over 20% of participants. Foreign pre-registrations have increased by 30% compared to the previous year, with over 10,000 buyers from the “Belt and Road Initiative” countries and key regions, including Southeast Asia, the Asia-Pacific, Central Asia, Europe, and the United States.
