The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned on Wednesday that any new attack by the United States and Israel against Iran could trigger a wider conflict beyond the region.

In a statement carried by the Iranian agency Tasnim, the IRGC claimed that Washington and Israel had not learned lessons from what it describes as strategic defeats faced by Tehran.

The Iranian military body argued that, despite attacks carried out with “all the capabilities of the two most expensive armies in the world,” Iran had not yet used all its means against its adversaries.

“If an aggression against Iran unfolds, the regional war that was announced will extend beyond the region this time,” the statement said.

The IRGC also threatened to inflict “crushing blows” in places “you cannot imagine.”

“We are men of war and you will see our power on the battlefield, not in empty statements or on virtual pages,” the text added.

American President Donald Trump said on Monday that he had postponed an attack on Iran at the request of several Gulf leaders.

Pakistan, on the other hand, stated that it is working to revive diplomatic efforts between Iran and the United States following the ceasefire reached on April 8.
