On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, the playground at Plateau Saint-Jean hosted the 6th edition of the “Raid Prox Aventure” event, an initiative led by Raid Aventure Organisation in partnership with the City of Chalon-sur-Saône and the prefecture of Saône-et-Loire.
The aim of the day was to create connections between young people and law enforcement through sports, prevention, and civic dialogue.
Nearly 700 middle school and high school students, youth supported by the Judicial Protection of Youth and the Youth Work Mission, took part in this event supervised by volunteer police officers. Throughout the day, participants engaged in various activities focusing on awareness, personal development, and teamwork.
The program included activities inspired by police training, demonstrations of intervention techniques, boxing, football, climbing, laser shooting, as well as prevention workshops on the dangers of alcohol and drugs. It was also a great opportunity for local professionals to showcase their work. First aid training sessions were offered to educate young people on life-saving skills.
Beyond the sports activities, the main goal of the day was to promote exchanges between young people and representatives of various institutions present. In a friendly and supportive atmosphere, national police, municipal police, and associative partners engaged in dialogue with participants on citizenship, security, and prevention of risky behaviors.
The organizers commended the strong involvement of partner institutions in supporting this community initiative. Some of the partner institutions included the national police, municipal police, national gendarmerie, Inter-armed Base Pétrolière (BPIA), Departmental Fire and Rescue Service, Unis-Cité, Transdev-STAC, and Sauvegarde 71.
Everyone emphasized the importance of building a safer and more united city with the young people, based on mutual respect and trust.
It was a beautiful day of sharing and exchange that demonstrated how through sports, prevention, and dialogue, young people and law enforcement can learn more about each other and work together towards a more peaceful city.
