Iranian anti-aircraft defense systems located on the island of Qeshm, near the Strait of Hormuz, have reportedly been activated, according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency.
According to the agency, the anti-aircraft defense systems were put on high alert near the island of Qeshm.
As a result, Iranian anti-aircraft defense systems were activated following the detection of micro-drones near the island of Qeshm.
While it was not immediately clear if these drones were intercepted, the vice governor of Hormozgan province, Ahmed Nefisi, stated that the situation was under control and Iranian armed forces were on high alert.
Tensions in the region escalated after the United States and Israel carried out joint strikes against Iran on February 28. In response, Tehran launched retaliatory strikes against Israel and other countries in the region hosting American assets.
