On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, the municipal council met at the town hall under the chairmanship of Mayor Bernard Goalec. The first topic discussed during the regular session was the renewal of the public service delegation contract at the end of 2026, with the Ti Labousig nursery, in partnership with the municipalities of Trémaouézan, La Roche-Maurice, and Saint-Thonan. Open since 2011, the establishment located in the town center offers 30 spots, including 27 for Plouédern. Based on the past years’ results, the council confirms the desire to renew the contract starting on January 1, 2027, for a four-year period, based on the principle of leasing with Les Petits Chaperons Rouge, who occupy the premises owned by the municipality.
Participation in schools: Fifty children from the municipality attend external schools in Plouédern. The municipality’s participation in the operating costs of these establishments is maintained at €300 per child, totaling €15,000 for the 2025-2026 school year.
Internal regulations: On April 27, the elected officials worked on the internal regulations of the council, which is mandatory for municipalities with more than 1,000 inhabitants. The aim is to define in detail the operating procedures of the municipal council. The council confirmed its adherence to the document.
Construction of the sports hall: During the council meeting on November 25, the council had approved the allocation of lots, except for two: lot 12 containing sports flooring; and lot 13 for the supply of sports equipment. The tender commission presented the council with a comparison statement, including possible additional services. The officials selected SportingSols for lot 12, at a cost of €88,955 excluding taxes, and Nouansport for lot 13, for an amount of €81,970 excluding taxes. At the end of the session, a meeting was scheduled for all officials to visit the municipality’s facilities on May 18.
