The Red Star FC learned with immense sadness of the passing of Fleury Di Nallo, who died at the age of 83. A legendary figure in French football and a legend of Olympique Lyonnais, he also wore the colors of Red Star in the 1974-1975 season, the club’s last season in Ligue 1.

Nicknamed the “Little Prince of Gerland,” Fleury Di Nallo will be remembered as one of the greatest strikers in French football history, being the top scorer in the history of Olympique Lyonnais with 222 goals in the Lyon jersey.

In Saint-Ouen, Fleury Di Nallo reunited with his former partner Nestor Combin to reform one of the most striking offensive duos of their generation under the Audonian jersey. Ten years after their victory in the French Cup with OL, the two men met again for half a season in the green and white colors. Despite their efforts, Red Star FC failed to secure their survival at the end of the season, especially after a match against Lyon. On his return to Gerland, Fleury Di Nallo even scored the last goal of his Division 1 career.

His time at Red Star FC remains the memory of an immense competitor and a man deeply respected by all those who crossed his path. The club extends its sincerest condolences to his family, friends, loved ones, former teammates, as well as the entire Lyon family and French football community.
