Injured elephant from the Terres de Nataé, operated at Pont

Four specialists

The injury to the young elephant requires surgery. However, operating on a 7-year-old elephant weighing over three tons is not easy. This Wednesday, a team of 25 people will be mobilized: a specialized veterinarian and park keepers, firefighters, and external veterinarians. “There are two European specialists in dentistry for wild animals, including elephants, and two veterinarians from Nantes specializing in wildlife,” said Sébastien Musset.
