One year after its creation, the association confirms its success with 120 members and more than 500 cumulative entries.
The Ciné Portet de tous association has found its place in the cultural landscape of Portet. Gathered at a general meeting last May 5th, volunteers reflected on a particularly dynamic first year, marked by increasing enthusiasm from the public and members.
The adventure began in spring 2025 with the aim of offering regular film screenings in Portet-sur-Garonne. Thanks to a partnership with the town hall and Cinéfol 31, the association launched its first screenings in December 2025. Since then, a cinema weekend has been organized every month with a diverse program.
Success has quickly followed, growing from 30 members at the beginning to now 120, showcasing genuine public attachment to this new local cultural offering. This progress was made possible thanks to the involvement of around thirty volunteers in film selection, communication, ticketing, projection, and animation.
The weekend of May 8, 9, and 10 marked a symbolic milestone: the association surpassed 500 cumulative entries since the start of the screenings. This encouraging attendance confirms the interest of residents in this monthly cultural and friendly event.
Building on this successful first year, Ciné Portet de tous is already preparing for the future with new projects such as outdoor screenings, school sessions, film discussions, documentary weekends, and thematic events – all aimed at bringing cinema to life at the heart of the community.
Upcoming screenings include “Malaga” on June 12 at 8:30 PM, “Juste une illusion” on June 13 at 8:30 PM, and “Super Mario Galaxy” on June 14 at 4:00 PM. For more information, visit the website: portet-cine.fr.
