Four defeats in as many senior matches, several disappointments in the youth teams, the weekend was complicated for AMTF. They will need to negotiate the next ones better.
While the D3F was resting, in R1F, the reserve team hosted Jacou Clapiers on Sunday in Désiré-Gach. Diminished by absences, they did not deserve more but lacked offensive realism and were punished with a 2-1 defeat. Already assured of finishing seventh, David Conquet’s players will challenge Montauban’s reserve team to finish the season well next Sunday. In Colomiers, the U18F R1 team had no success either, suffering a heavy 5-1 defeat. The highlight of the weekend goes to the U15F R1 team, who easily beat Tarbes 6-1.
Complicated for the youth teams
In the men’s senior team, Jonathan Lacourt’s men led for a long time against Golfech, but against a solid Deux Rives team, they cracked twice in the last ten minutes and lost 2-1. The aim is to secure the top 5 this Saturday with the final home game of the season against Biars Bretenoux. At Guitardière, the reserve team, deprived of a goalkeeper after five minutes, logically lost 3-0 in a match that only had the name of a derby. Finally, in Blan, against the group leader, the team 3 was heavily defeated 8-1.
On the youth side, it was also complicated with three heavy defeats: 8-0 against Blagnac for the U14 R1 team who are officially relegated to U15 Territoire, 6-0 on the field of the Montalban leader for the U15 R1 team, and 7-0 in Balma for the U18 R1 team. The U16 R2 team came close to Canal Nord but lost 1-0. The only victory of the weekend goes to the U17 R1 team, winners 2-1 against Carbonne. At the district level, the youth teams had more success with two victories: 3-2 against Valence Valdériès for the U15 Level 2 and 9-2 in Les Coteaux for the U17 Level 2.
