In Carbonne, football takes on a new dimension beyond scores and competitions, it now serves as a tool for awareness and inclusion.
Driven by the commitment of Timothée Griseri, founder of Handitim, this initiative has been working for several years to change perceptions about disabilities. Today, his initiative is making its presence felt on the field, reaching out to the youth.
Timothée Griseri’s personal commitment began in March 2017, during a difficult personal time. Refusing to be defined by the stereotypes associated with disabilities, he decided to turn it into a strength. Handitim was born from this realization, initially through testimonials and speeches. Soon, the initiative expanded with interventions in companies and training in communities, all rooted in a strong belief that a disability does not define a person.
Now, a new milestone has been reached as Timothée Griseri becomes a sponsor of Jeunesse Sportive Carbonnaise, particularly their U12 team, aiming to integrate his actions into the daily lives of young people. He believes that sports, especially football, provide a great learning ground for respect, teamwork, and solidarity, as well as an ideal platform to convey essential messages.
The goal is clear: to move awareness beyond traditional boundaries and make it vivid, tangible, and accessible from a young age. The focus is on building a more inclusive generation right from childhood, with direct involvement with young players to contribute to a lasting change in mindset.
Through this initiative, Handitim continues its growth while remaining true to its initial goal of changing perceptions about disabilities. In Carbonne, football transcends being just a sport and becomes a vehicle for education, respect, and inclusion, serving the future generations.
