The village has once again welcomed people with disabilities to discover two sports: kickboxing and petanque.

This day, dedicated to sports as a fantastic tool for inclusion, respect, and social connection, was made possible thanks to the initiative of the club No limits fit fight, Dakilla Squad section, in collaboration with the Departmental Committee for Adapted Sports. Just like the first edition held in January, the petanque club eagerly responded to the invitation to share this moment marked by conviviality, sports, and community spirit.

The day started at the petanque field, where around thirty participants from specialized institutions across the department were able to learn and play petanque in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The smiles on the participants’ faces during the shared lunch alone testified to the success of the morning. In the afternoon, the activities continued at the Tamaroque space with two workshops led by educators and volunteers: petanque games at the back of the complex alternated with an initiation to kickboxing in the room.

No limits, soon to be affiliated with the French Federation for Adapted Sports

Accustomed to working with people with disabilities, and as the only Audian structure labeled as an “Inclusive Club” in its discipline, the club No Limits fit fight aims to take its commitment even further: “We wanted to clearly distinguish our activities. The part dedicated to kickboxing now has the name Dakila Squad, formerly our competition section. In parallel, our association No limits fit fight will become a fully-fledged association, affiliated with the French Federation for Adapted Sports, with a clear objective: to develop inclusive sports practices accessible to all,” explains President Yannik Frickert, who also unveils an upcoming innovative project called Syncrokick, focused on inclusion and cooperation rather than opposition.

A successful day marked by sharing and humanity, concluding in a warm atmosphere with sincere thanks to the municipality for its support and welcome, as well as to the village petanque club, which once again enthusiastically participated in this inclusive initiative.
