The Think Innovation Week 2026 offers you an intensive experience to transition from a concept – or a dormant patent – to a structured, responsible project ready for international deployment.
This week is for those who want to connect research, innovation, and societal impact in a multidisciplinary and international environment.
A progressive program in three complementary blocks
You can participate in a specific block or follow the entire program for a comprehensive progression.
Block 1 – “48 Hours to Revive Dormant Patents”
You work in a team based on an existing patent to explore its innovation potential. Utilizing technological surveillance, foresight, and creativity tools, you develop a Proof of Concept and identify tangible valorization pathways. This block harnesses your scientific skills in a collective and strategic dynamic.
Block 2 – “Business Model Design for an International Market”
This block guides you in transforming an idea into a structured and viable project internationally. Through the ID&EO method, you build a global scenario, develop an entrepreneurial strategy, and integrate sustainability, societal responsibility, and new technology issues. You lay the groundwork for a strong and coherent business model.
Block 3 – “Prototyping Your Ideas”
This day is dedicated to materializing your project. By mobilizing the FabLab approach and tools like eye tracking to test acceptability, you challenge your idea with reality. Prototyping refines the concept and enriches the project through user and stakeholder feedback.

Throughout the week, you will be supported and guided by experts to:
- Transform a patent or concept into a structured project
- Build a solid and international business model
- Integrate contemporary sustainability and technological innovation challenges
- Develop sought-after cross-functional skills in research, innovation, and entrepreneurship
Whether you are considering an academic career, a Ph.D. with an entrepreneurial focus, or a role in public or private innovation, this experience strengthens your profile and capacity to lead complex projects.

- Participate only in Block 1
- Participate in Blocks 2 and 3
- Participate in all three blocks

- For students from the Eureca-Pro, UNIGR, and UIR networks: accommodation and meals covered by the ORION program (travel expenses are the responsibility of the home university).
- For students from the University of Lorraine: meals covered by the ORION program; accommodation and transportation also covered if justified.
