Pascal Obispo enjoys retirement in Cap Ferret

Well-known French singer Pascal Obispo has been keeping a low profile lately due to health issues. While his ex-partner Isabelle Funaro was a victim of a home invasion in Bouches-du-Rhône, he is enjoying his retirement in Cap Ferret, where he now spends most of his time. The former coach of The Voice likes to frequent a specific restaurant in the area, where he indulges in his favorite dishes.

Pascal Obispo: his retreat in Cap Ferret

Since 2004, Pascal Obispo has been living in a large villa by the ocean. He has transformed a 1.4-hectare plot near the lighthouse on the tip of the Cap Ferret peninsula into a beautiful estate surrounded by nature. He fell in love with this building overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and offering a breathtaking view of the Dune of Pilat. Initially, the property was in disrepair when he purchased it, but the singer undertook a complete renovation to turn it into a magnificent residence.

Now, his residence boasts a pool, a recording studio, and a tennis court. Despite all these amenities, the singer, who used to be in a relationship with Isabelle Funaro, enjoys going out to explore Cap Ferret, especially visiting a particular restaurant that has become his favorite spot.

What are Pascal Obispo’s favorite dishes?

There are places where one likes to return to without getting bored. For Pascal Obispo, that place is a restaurant near the ocean. In an interview with France Bleu, he revealed his favorite dish that truly excites him: “A traditional dish would be the mussels from Chez Hortense, from my friends Bernadette, Olivier, and François in Cap Ferret, at the tip of Cap Ferret, right in front of the Dune of Pilat.”

Describing the restaurant, he said, “It’s a traditional restaurant where it’s nice to spend some time,” and he visits it very often, stating, “I’ve been there countless times every summer.” Besides mussels, he also enjoys eating a ribeye steak with a secret sauce and fries, which he claims are among the best in the world. In fact, he is not the only celebrity to appreciate the cuisine at Chez Hortense, as other famous patrons include Audrey Tautou and Michel Denisot.
