President of PSG, Nasser al-Khelaïfi, is present on Thursday evening at the Meinau Stadium in Strasbourg to support RC Strasbourg against Rayo Vallecano in the Conference League semi-final, according to sources close to PSG’s presidency.

Following PSG’s Champions League final qualification, the president of the Parisian club made a five-hour car journey from Munich to attend this match, which “goes beyond the scope of a single club”, according to the same source. If RC Strasbourg qualifies, it will become the third French club to play a European final this year, alongside PSG and OL Lyonnes.

Each result achieved by a French club in a European competition generates “valuable UEFA coefficient points for all French clubs,” as reminded by a source close to PSG’s presidency. These points determine the number of places allocated to French clubs in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League in the upcoming seasons.

On Wednesday night, Nasser al-Khelaïfi delivered a speech in the PSG players’ locker room, emphasizing the importance of making history in football and the sport’s international development.
