They are no longer six, but five Lyonnaises selected for the U17 Euro in Northern Ireland. As reported by our colleagues at Olympique et Lyonnais, Maëssa Fathallah is no longer in the list of the Bleuettes called up to face Poland, this Tuesday at 4 p.m., for the first match of this qualifying competition for the U17 World Cup.

This great hope of French football started in Nantes last Wednesday (1-1). After delivering a quality performance in Loire-Atlantique, her presence in the professional group could be valuable to bolster the squad in a busy end of the season with the final of the Coupe de France, the championship play-offs, and the Champions League final.

Lyon, the most represented club

This updated French selection still includes defenders from OL Lyonnes Emma Moyka and Rosie Olando, as well as their teammates Maelys Ane (midfielder), Léa Moyka and Maëhisane Zidi (forwards). This quintet puts Lyon as the most represented club.

After Poland, the French team will face Spain on May 8 and Finland on May 11 during the group stage. The top three from each group (composed of four teams) will qualify for the final phase.
