The director Savannah Michot and the president Yolande Alberti recalled the cinema’s vocation: to offer a programming for all audiences, mixing mainstream films, art house works, local documentaries, heritage, and short films. This work was recognized with the award of a CNC label. Over fifty events animated the year: themed evenings, meetings, screenings in original versions, associative events, outdoor screenings, and the festival “Les Rencontres savoureuses.”
The young audience remains a strong focus, with Ciné Mémes screenings, workshops, and innovative experiences such as video games in theaters. Image education occupies a central place: students participated in school programs, in addition to sessions offered to schools in the area.
70,000 euros of investment
The operation relies on complementarity between employees and a team of very dedicated volunteers. Among them, Élisabeth de La Bardonnie and Aymeric Dupuy were elected as representatives of the members. The president issued a call for new occasional reinforcements and announced the creation of a welcome booklet to facilitate the integration of future volunteers.
The mayor of Casteljaloux, Julie Castillo, as well as institutional partners, reiterated their support for this local cinema. The municipality confirmed an investment of 70,000 euros for the replacement of heating and air conditioning, including the lobby.
