Micronora, the international trade fair for microtechnology and precision, which takes place in Besançon every two years and will be held from September 29 to October 2 this year, aims to now be held every alternate year in Besançon, with the following edition in North America.
Brazil in sight
It is now a fact that Micronora will also be set up in Montreal, Quebec, from September 14 to 16, 2027.
The idea is to export the format of the trade fair to allow the North American market to better understand its European counterpart and establish industrial connections. The first edition is intended to be “modest,” covering 5,000 m², and will host between 70 and 120 exhibitors. The organization hopes for half of the attendees to be European professionals (mostly regulars from the Besançon fair), and the other half to be North American players. The goal is to eventually reach the South American market, with Brazil being a key target.
The initial choice of Montreal is due to its position as the third largest aerospace city in the world, a predominant sector among Micronora exhibitors, which will also be a highlight this year in Besançon.
