Second Women’s League (19th matchday). LOSC – EA Guingamp: 4-0
The end of the season is going to be terribly long for the Costarmoricains. Three weeks after the defeat against Rodez (1-2) which sealed their fate, Jérôme Molinier’s team wanted to believe in a more favorable destiny in order to finish the final stretch as best as possible. With three matches still to be played, the heavy defeat suffered in the North this Sunday speaks volumes about the lack of mobilization of a team that still drags its defensive shortcomings like a ball and chain. The worst defense in the championship (37 goals in 19 league matches) once again faltered, taking a beating. And as the offensive animation was completely transparent, the visitors logically derailed.
Third consecutive defeat for Guingamp
It only took 25 minutes for Lille, a solid member of the Top 5, to take off. Realism was total for LOSC, which scored three goals out of its first four attempts (3-0, 30′). In Villeneuve-d’Ascq, Pauline Haugou, author of a hat-trick (4-0, 57′), took the spotlight and highlighted EAG’s glaring deficiencies. The Guingampaises, last in the table, suffer a third straight defeat and can still expect to suffer, given the rather gloomy context.
